Saugus (MA) Youth Football & Cheer High School Scholarship – Class of 2026

In celebration of our 55th Anniversary, Saugus Youth Football & Cheer is proud to continue giving back to the Town of Saugus by supporting our former athletes as they take their next steps in education and life.

Saugus Youth Football & Cheer will award two (2) $1,000 scholarships to retired participants of Saugus Pop Warner and/or Saugus Youth Football & Cheer in Massachusetts.

• One scholarship will be awarded to a High School Senior who played Football

• One scholarship will be awarded to a High School Senior who participated in Cheer

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a 2026 High School Senior

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• Must have participated in at least one season of Saugus Pop Warner and/or Saugus Youth Football & Cheer between 2015 and 2022 (1st Grade through 8th Grade) in Massachusetts

• Must be continuing education at a Trade School, 2-Year College, or 4-Year College

• Submission of an essay containing 300 words or more

Essay Requirements:
The essay should include:

• Information about yourself, including contact information

• Number of year(s) you participated in Saugus Pop Warner and/or Saugus Youth Football & Cheer

• Details about your continuing education (school name, concentration/major, and other relevant information)

• What values you learned from playing football or cheer

• Someone from Saugus Pop Warner and/or Saugus Youth Football & Cheer whom you respected or looked up to

Submission Deadline:
Essays must be submitted no later than Sunday, April 26, 2026.
No late applications will be accepted.

Selection Process:
Applications will be reviewed by the Saugus Youth Football & Cheer Scholarship Committee. All decisions are final.
Scholarship recipients will be announced in June 2026.

• Siblings are welcome – $15 per child

• Parents are welcome to skate – $15 each

• Rollerblade rental available for an additional charge

👉 Please note: This is not a drop-off event. Parents must remain for the duration. SYFC and coaches are not responsible for unattended children.
